State standards in editorial and publishing sphere: Current state

Abstract
The author shows brief information about the Technical Сommittee for standardization “Scientific and technical information, librarianship and publishing” (GOST TC 191). The Committee today based on the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of Russia. The author presents the work of Committee and overview of the current standards of editorial and publishing. The author analyzes and evaluates the development of the State standards fund in this area and presents new projects of the National Standardization Program of the Russian Federation for 2022. The paper notes the important role of State standards in creating a regulatory and methodological framework for both editorial and publishing activities, and a single information space of knowledge in general.
