Editors-in-chief and editors are role models in academic and scholarly communities. Thus, if they have multiple retractions or a record of academic misconduct, this viewpoint argues that they should not serve on journals’ editorial boards. The exception is where such individuals have displayed a clear path of scholarly reform. Policy and guidance is needed by organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics.</p>
Таким организациям, как Комитет публикационной этики (Committee on Publication  Ethics), необходимы должные руководство и стратегия.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>академический имидж</kwd><kwd>корректирующая наука</kwd><kwd>реформа</kwd><kwd>обязанности</kwd><kwd>образцы для подражания</kwd><kwd>научное сообщество</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>academic image</kwd><kwd>corrective science</kwd><kwd>reform</kwd><kwd>responsibilities</kwd><kwd>role models</kwd><kwd>scholarly community</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Bülow W., Godskesen T.
